Get ready for mainnet!

Dear community,

Solar is getting ready to migrate SXP from ERC20/BEP20 to its own mainnet.

What is the SXP mainnet?

The SXP mainnet is a layer-1 blockchain that uses the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus model powered by Solar Core with SXP as its native coin.

Q1 of this year has been a critical period for SXP where the community and developers have created the foundation for the layer-1 blockchain. Q2 will unlock many of the exciting utilities of the SXP blockchain.

Read the Solar Whitepaper or check our roadmap to learn more about all the utilities on the SXP blockchain:

When is the mainnet launch date?

We are happy to officially announce the SXP mainnet launch date:

28th of March, 2022 at 18:00 UTC

The mainnet code for exchanges, developers and delegates will be available a few days before the official launch.

Developers and exchanges will be able to use our APIs and SDKs to test the mainnet implementation. Delegates will be able to set-up their node in advance to guarantee a smooth launch.

Learn more about the SXP blockchain and the technical features by visiting our dedicated documentation website:

https://docs.solar.org

* We advise SXP holders to wait for the official swap details. This will follow on the mainnet launch date. Read our swap documentation to get familiar with the swap procedure on testnet.

What is the SXP testnet?

Testnet is a SXP network that runs as a separate blockchain, parallel to our mainnet and which can be used to test new features by Solar developers, delegates and community members. While testnet has a separate set of delegates, many delegates on mainnet will have a delegate on testnet to contribute to the development of the SXP blockchain. All updates and new features that will be released on mainnet will first be tested on testnet to ensure proper functionality and compatibility. This will allow end-users to be guaranteed a flawless experience when interacting with our mainnet layer-1 blockchain.

What’s next?

A few days before the mainnet launch. We will post an update to introduce users to the SXP swap procedure.

In the meantime, please stay safe and don’t fall for scams. We have noticed an increase in fraudulent articles and fake swap announcements.

The swap will be announced on our official website.

We hope all of you are excited for the mainnet launch and for what is coming next!

Special thanks to all developers, delegates, contributors and the whole community.

Stay tuned for the next update!
