Solar Art Contest Announcement of Winners!
Hi everyone,
We would like to thank everyone for submitting your great works of art. The jury had a tough time judging all the fantastic entries. A few participants unfortunately broke some of the rules and were disqualified, either by using existing artwork or submitting multiple entries, but overall we were very excited about what was presented.
One of the guidelines indicated that including our mascot Leo would help your chances — especially if it was done so as an original drawing, not just traced or copied.
With that, on to the winners!
Hand-drawn
Grand Prize
User Yeu created this awesome piece of artwork and the Jury unanimously chose this one as the big 550 SXP winner of the contest. We love the way Leo is drawn, running over the decentralized network on the world leaving gusting solar flames. Beautiful style, colors, nice backlighting… Congratulations!
Hand-drawn runner-up
The 50 SXP runner up prize in the hand draw category is this lovely little print created by user Talatreisxp. Nice little traditional pencil drawing. It is just a beautiful mood of Leo watching the sunrise of Solar.

3D winner:
The winner in the 3D category is this fun scene. Bad guy Theo, the evil brother of Leo. Yes we know, Babbez the creator of this 3D character had a whole different origin story, but he surely must be wrong about that. Leo would never be the bad guy right? Really nice 3D character modeling, lighting and rendering. 150 SXP prize goes to you!

Then finally the 150 SXP winning image in the last category: “Digital Illustration” goes to Yeji. Great concept of Nayiem, the technical lead of Solar carrying Solar to the moon!
