Governance Proposal Outcome

The recently submitted governance proposal did not meet quorum and therefore did not pass. While a majority of participating votes were in favor, overall participation was insufficient to reach the required threshold.

As with all governance processes on Solar, the outcome is respected.

Current Status of the Solar Network

The Solar network continues to operate unchanged.

  • Block production remains active
  • Validators continue operating independently
  • Token supply, balances, and consensus rules remain unchanged
  • No protocol upgrades or economic changes are being executed

Core infrastructure, including seed nodes and network services, will continue to be maintained to ensure stability and security.

Project Direction

At this time, no new governance proposals or protocol changes are planned.

Solar remains operational as a decentralized network, with validators and community participants continuing to run and support the chain.
Maintenance and security oversight will continue as needed.

Any future changes to Solar, should they ever be proposed, would follow the same transparent, on-chain governance processes.

Clarification on External Projects

There has been community discussion about independent projects being developed outside of Solar.

To be clear:

  • Solar is not initiating, endorsing, or executing any migration, swap, or successor process
  • Participation in any external or independent projects is entirely optional and does not affect Solar
  • No Solar assets, code, governance authority, or infrastructure are being transferred

Solar continues as its own network.

Project Stewardship and Continuity

Solar continues to operate as a decentralized network, with validators independently maintaining the chain. As previously stated, no immediate protocol changes or governance actions are planned.

Solar is an open-source project, and long-term stewardship is not tied to any single individual.

If any organization, foundation, or contributor believes they are better positioned to assume a more active role in maintaining or developing Solar, they are welcome to reach out to the Solar team through official channels to discuss possibilities in a transparent and orderly manner.

Any such discussions would be separate from governance outcomes and would prioritize:

  • network stability,
  • user protection, and
  • continuity of operations.

Until and unless such arrangements are formally agreed upon and communicated, Solar will continue operating in its current state.

Closing

We thank all community members and validators who participated in the governance process. Governance outcomes are respected as a core principle of decentralization.

Solar remains stable and operational, and no action is required from users or validators at this time.

Further updates will be shared if and when relevant through official channels.
