Important Update: Product News and an App to Rule Them All
It may be too early to summarise the year yet - but 2024 will likely go down in history as a transformative one, on many levels.
We have changed our identity, defined the product and brand architecture, significantly increased our media presence and improved content.
But most important of all - we have a clear, unified mission of developing and offering “brighter” solutions.
Brighter means “Accessible”. Brighter means “Inclusive”. Brighter means “Intuitive”, user-friendly and empowering. Whether it’s a game launcher that bridges technologies, a wallet that bridges operating systems, or a crypto-friendly debit card which truly empowers users to spend their crypto assets around the world.
OK, enough bragging, back to the news!
1. Solar Card is closer than ever
After many months and almost a year of trying to find the right partners, and facing legal challenges and struggles, we can finally say that all the formal work has been finalised. Now with the onboarding process completed - The Solar Card app has been uploaded to PlayStore and Apple Store and is currently pending review. This process usually takes less than a few days on Android and possibly a week or more on iOS.
While the app is being reviewed for the Google Play Store and Apple App Store–we've taken steps to ensure more accessibility. In the coming days, we are introducing Solar Card also as a Progressive Web App (PWA): a browser-based solution allowing you to manage your Solar Card on any device, free from the constraints of app store ecosystems.
This is just the first step in our ongoing mission to make financial empowerment seamless and inclusive for everyone.
2. BrighterVPN: Enabling Privacy for All
We’ve onboarded more than 4000 users in the last few days. But due to Apple's restrictions on new VPN and Wallet apps, our crypto-first VPN as well as our asset management such as the Solar Mobile Wallet may be inaccessible to users of the world’s second most popular operating system.
We had to rethink our approach.
BrighterVPN will continue to work on Android, it will also remain available on Apple’s TestFlight app. A new version of the BrighterVPN app is in the works, combined with the Solar Mobile Wallet, designed to provide iOS users with the same level of privacy and security as Android users, bypassing the limitations of traditional app store models.
Our commitment to protecting your privacy doesn’t waver, and the BrighterVPN ensures that everyone, regardless of platform, can stay secure and anonymous online.
But we didn’t stop there.
Meet The Brighter One: A Brighter Solution
At Solar Enterprises, we’ve encountered recurring challenges with fragmented systems—particularly when working within restrictive platforms.
This has led us to a bold, simple–and bright solution: one App - The Brighter One.
In the beginning - it will combine the BrighterVPN and the Solar Mobile Wallet - making it a truly crypto-first solution.
In the next phase - the app will also merge with Solar Card.
Imagine a single app that combines the features and functionality of our separate products, offering an accessible, unified experience:
- Want a Solar Card? Connect and manage it directly through the app.
- Managing your BrighterVPN subscription? Control it with ease via the app.
- Need to swap, vote for a block producer, or exchange your assets? It’s all there.
What this means is that the old Solar Mobile Wallet, Solar Card app and BrighterVPN apps will be deprecated at some point, and their functionalities merged into one - The Brighter One.
This convergent approach is not just about convenience; it’s about inclusivity. By bringing everything under one roof, we’re creating a more seamless and accessible ecosystem, much like our tymt™ platform. With a single touchpoint, users can unlock the full potential of the Solar ecosystem, without navigating multiple apps.
